Two Acts of Law give you the right to make a claim for food poisoning. They are "The Consumer Protection Act 1987 " which ensures that if you suffer from food poisoning, due to food poisoning from of a defective product (the food eaton) then they can be compensated by either the person who made it or from the person who sold the product. You don't even have to have bought the product yourself.
To protect and compensate you The Food Safety Act of 1990 protects you even further by making it is an offence if somebody sells or supplies you with produce that is dangerouse for human consumption or if they dont correctly describe the food on sale.
You should contact your local Environmental Health Officer and report if you think that you are suffering from food poisoning, it is very important that you do this as soon as possible.
You may be able to claim for compensation from either the manufacturer, or the seller of the food ff you, or a member of your family, have suffered from food poisoning . You are entitled to be compensated for your pain and suffering, you should also claim for any loss of earnings, the cost of any medical treatment or any other expenses you have incurred as due to this food poisoning.
